Real Wonderful
A rhythmical line, a circle, a square, a module, an architecture of shapes that navigate spaces with blues drawn perhaps from Klein, maybe from Matisses’ cut-out papers with elements that repeat and play with movement, seeking a new order, a new language, a new visual poetry proposing tensions and dynamics that disturb the spectator’s sensitivity, that is the universe that Christian Abusaid proposes.
This artist - architect with anthropological spirit transits a variety of paths of investigation in his creative process: Je approaches sacred plants of different millenary cultures which open doors and empower the senses to scrutinize the furthest limits of our outer and inner reality, he also digs into the imperishable spirit that underlies the pre-Columbian legacy, whether it is in the statues of San Agustín or in the moais of Easter Island, he also breaks down the five elements that rule our planet and that condense and release energies that surround every being and all this harvested baggage leads him to create an artwork that promotes the symbiosis between the universe that surrounds him and his inner world, varnished with order, movement and harmony that he enjoys from architecture. As for the technical part of his work, he is rigorous and impeccable in both the two-dimensional and three-dimensional work.
