For Art Dubai 2024, Espacio Continuo Gallery (Colombia) is pleased to present the work of Colombian artists Ana Maria Rueda and Miler Lagos who exhibit their unique in-terpretations of the artificiality of nature, using various media and techniques to rec-reate the beauty and mystique of the natu-ral world.
In the work of Lagos and Rueda, illegal mining, expansion of monocultures, and water resource pollution are both a starting point and a questioning of the extractives relationship between humans and their closest natural environment. The works presented in this project invite the viewer to remember that water, plants (trees), and celestial bodies are living entities where we must recognize our kinship from a human perspective and rediscover the sacred concepts of the origin of life.
