As an artist, she calls for a material consciousness and asserts that as human beings we must begin to focus more on our daily actions instead of centering our attention in our discourses.

Biography
Juliana Góngora, plastic artist and sculptor. She studied undergraduate and master's degrees in plastic arts at the National University of Colombia in Bogotá. She received honors, was a fellow, and assistant professor at that institution.

She's currently a teacher in the Plastic Arts program at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogotá, is linked to the Arte-Vivo de Artesanías de Colombia program, and is interested in the exchange of knowledge between artisans and indigenous communities of the Americas.

Invited to “Rivus” the 23rd Biennale of Sydney 2022. In 2020 she held an individual exhibition called “Cuerpo de leche” at the Nueveochenta Gallery, as part of the creation scholarship for an intermediate career artist, granted by the Ministry of Culture of Colombia . He was part of the exhibition "With this mouth, in this world" at the Lokkus Gallery in Medellín and the show "La courte échelle" at Goodman Gallery South Africa (2020). In the same year she participated in Zona Maco in CDMX and in the 12th Porto Alegre Biennial “Femenino(s). Visualities, Actions and Affects”.

In 2019 he was part of the exhibition “Past, time, future. Art in Colombia in the 21st century” at the MAMM (Museum of Modern Art of Medellín), at the 45th National Salon of Artists in the curatorship “La fábula de Aracne”, and at ARTBO 2019. In 2017 he participated in the residence of the MacVal Musèe d'art contemporain du Val-de-Marne as a guest artist within the framework of the Colombia-France year.

Some of the scholarships and awards she has received in recent years are, from the Ministry of Culture, the creation scholarship for emerging artists in 2015. Winner of the FLORA ars+natura Artist in Residence scholarship; winner of the residency in the summer program "The year of the internectaries" in Mildred's lane New York, USA 2016, and winner of the Young Art award in 2016.
