Tending to sense or dissent from cultural systems and relationships that have been established as stratums, habits, or customs—baroque or mottled records that border our room as ethos or lives particular to what it means to be Latinamerican today.

Biography

Eduard Moreno studied at the National University of Colombia, where he earned a Master's degree in Fine Arts with a specialization in Painting in 1997. Later, he traveled to Spain thanks to the Carolina Oramas-Icetex Excellence Scholarship for Colombian Artists in 2005, during which he took courses in Contemporary Art History at the Madrid Institute of Arts.

Since 1999, Eduard Moreno has participated in both solo and group exhibitions, receiving various notable distinctions, including the First Prize at the V Youth Painting Salon Club El Nogal in 2009, the First Prize at the 20th National Fire Salon in 2008 from the Gilberto Alzate Avendaño Foundation, an Honorable Mention at the Fernando Botero Prize Salon in 2008, and a Special Mention at the 10th Regional Artists Salon of Bogotá in 2003, among others.

In 2011, Eduard Moreno was awarded the Latin America Art Award during the 7th International Art Fair of Bogotá, artBO, in recognition of his artistic career.

He currently lives and works in Bogotá, where he also teaches at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University.
